Throwaway preview of a DSL-themed course website template.
This repo is a wholesale copy of the Hertie School Data Science Lab's public
site (hertie-data-science-lab/hertie-data-science-lab.github.io), with the
lab-specific content reworked to serve as a placeholder course site for
Example Course (EX101) — Fall 2025, taught by Henry Baker.
The goal is a visual prototype that inherits the full Bootstrap-based UI/UX of the DSL site (dark theme with gold accents, fixed header, full-width hero, animated about/services cards, flip-card assignments, team-style layout, footer) so we can evaluate how a course website would look if built on the DSL template rather than a Jekyll theme.

index.htmlrewritten end-to-end: nav, hero, about, "Our Work" → Syllabus, "Our Teaching" → Weekly Schedule, "Our Students" → Assignments, added Materials section, contact details swapped to course-instructor info.inner-page.htmlleft unchanged (reserved as a future syllabus/schedule inner-page template).- Removed:
ai-art.html,ds01/,events/,students/,syllabus/PDFs,CNAME(lab-specific content, and the custom domain is not ours). - Added
.github/workflows/deploy.ymlfor GitHub Pages (no Jekyll build).
- Hertie School social links in the footer (Twitter/Facebook/Instagram/YouTube/LinkedIn) currently point at the school's institutional accounts.
- The
formspree.iocontact form endpoint still points at the DSL's form; faculty should replace with their own or remove the form. - The Google Maps embed is the Hertie School building — fine to keep or swap.
