Dayring

See your day at a glance. Stay grounded in time.

The Problem

  • You look up and hours have disappeared
  • You feel guilty but don't know where your time went
  • Clocks don't show how much day you have left

The Solution

A transparent ring overlay on your desktop that shows:

How much of your day has passed — visually, at a glance

📌 Your scheduled tasks — see time blocks like "work until lunch" or "free time until dinner"

👀 Always visible — no switching apps, no excuse to check your phone

Features

  • 🎯 Zero friction setup — runs in seconds
  • 🔲 Adjustable opacity — as subtle or bold as you want
  • 📍 Screen position options — corners or custom placement
  • 🚀 Auto-start with your PC
  • 🖱️ Click-through — doesn't block your work

How to Install?

What should I download?

Download one file based on your operating system. Most users only need one installer.

🪟 Windows

  • Recommended: DayRing-Setup-x.x.x.exe → Standard Windows installer (auto-updates for v1.1.1+)

  • Portable (no install): DayRing-x.x.x-Portable.exe → Runs directly, no installer

🍎 macOS (Apple Silicon – M1 / M2 / M3)

  • Recommended: DayRing-x.x.x-arm64.dmg → Drag-and-drop installer

  • Alternative: DayRing-x.x.x-arm64-mac.zip → Same app, zipped instead of DMG

⚠️ Note: Since this app is not yet signed by Apple, you may need to Right Click > Open to run it the first time. ⚠️ Intel Macs are not supported in this release.

🐧 Linux

  • Recommended (Any distro): DayRing-x.x.x.AppImage → Portable, no install required, (auto-updates for v1.1.1+)

  • Debian / Ubuntu: dayring_x.x.x_amd64.deb → Install via package manager

❓ What are the other files?

You can safely ignore these unless you know you need them:

  • .blockmap, latest*.yml → auto-updater metadata
  • builder-debug.yml → build/debug info
