Localized, Reliable, Secure, and AI‑Integrated Cloud for Sudan.
Sudan’s ongoing infrastructure crisis — intensified by the civil war — has left universities, businesses, and government entities powerless over their own data and services.
Reliance on expensive, foreign cloud providers introduces several critical issues:
- Service Bans: Due to American sanctions and a lack of access to international payment systems.
- High Latency: From data centers located in Europe and the U.S.
- Lack of Data Sovereignty: Essential for regulatory compliance and national security.
In-house solutions are also impractical: they are expensive to build and maintain, unreliable due to frequent power and internet outages, and require substantial technical expertise.
AwkData is a full-stack, Sudanese-built cloud platform designed to serve local needs with global-grade infrastructure. It provides the tools for developers to build, businesses to scale, and a nation to digitize.
| Feature | Description |
|---|---|
| Compute & Storage | Bare-metal virtual machines, container hosting, block and object storage. |
| Managed Services | Databases, Kubernetes, secrets management, DNS, and more. |
| AI-Powered Orchestration | Agentic AI that understands natural language to provision infrastructure. |
| Security & Resilience | End-to-end encryption, DDoS protection, multi-tenant isolation, and continuous monitoring. |
| Local Payments | Native support for Sudanese mobile banking, USSD, and international cards. |
- Phase:
Development - Current Focus: Agentic AI integration and CLI development.
- CI/CD: Pipelines for backend and frontend are operational.
- Deployment: Docker-based local development environment is stable. Production deployment planning is in the backlog.
