InnTouch

A hospitality guest-experience prototype that connects Tyler Mayberry's hotel operations background with practical software/product building.

Why It Exists

Hotels often run on fragmented communication: front desk calls, guest questions, handwritten notes, PMS screens, spreadsheets, and follow-up tasks that live in people's heads. InnTouch explores how a lightweight guest-facing tool could reduce that friction for small and mid-sized properties.

The goal was not to build a generic hotel website. It was to model the kinds of workflows hotel staff actually deal with: guest questions, amenity requests, property information, local recommendations, feedback capture, and escalation to staff when automation is not enough.

What It Shows

  • Translating hospitality operations experience into product requirements.
  • Designing guest-facing workflows that still respect staff-side realities.
  • Building a lightweight full-stack prototype with web UI, server logic, and local data storage.
  • Thinking through integrations with hotel systems such as PMS platforms and guest messaging flows.
  • Using software to reduce operational noise rather than simply adding another dashboard.

Prototype Scope

  • Guest information and property-guide surfaces.
  • Request/ordering concepts for amenities, room service, and local tours.
  • Feedback capture during the stay, not only after checkout.
  • AI-assisted guest-question handling with human escalation as the safety valve.
  • Local recommendations and map-based discovery concepts.
  • PMS/API integration concepts informed by real hotel-operations experience.

Tech Stack

  • HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frontend.
  • Node.js / Express backend concepts.
  • SQLite local data model.
  • WebSocket-style real-time communication concepts.
  • Leaflet / OpenStreetMap map concepts.
  • Cloudbeds/PMS integration concepts.

Status

Prototype / portfolio artifact. Useful for conversations about hospitality technology, internal tools, service operations, and practical product design.

This repo should be evaluated as evidence of domain-informed product thinking and prototype execution, not as a maintained production SaaS product.
