Fith

A stack-based programming language with a functional twist

The Idea

Goals for Fith:

  • Concatenative
  • Extensible
  • Concise
  • Lazy
  • Fully object-oriented
  • Fun

Right now, it's still in the "prototyping" phase. It still uses strict evaluation and there's no overarching object model to be found. But it's useful.

Examples

Here are some examples of the power of Fith:

100 iota { even? } filter sum ## Sum of all even numbers less than 100
read >list { ord 1+ chr } map sum . ## Read from standard input, increment every ASCII value, and print the result
{ dup } { tuck mod } while drop abs ## Calculate the GCD of two numbers
