First, thanks for such a nice library, helps me a ton.
I had the need to track multiple long processes on the background, but also wanted to keep track of the ETA and % done. I prefer using log files instead of multiple screens, and using the \r character was not looking good since it was creating an excessive big line, making the use of "tail " not ideal.
So now you can choose which endline character you use between the updates, with \r as default. I included an example of how my idea is applied.
