About

Hello fellow humans. I am Paul Horton, a totally normal human person and not three bears in a hoodie at BearHacks.

By day, I work as a Systems Engineer at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. By night, I forage for bugs, polish demos, and build weirdly fun projects across Python, TypeScript, and web stacks.

  • Location: Lowell, MA
  • Education: Arizona State University, Exploration Systems Design
  • MLH Lore: Former Coach at Major League Hacking
  • Current Mission: Ship useful tools, playful games, and hackathon-friendly prototypes before hibernation

Bear Den Highlights

  • InfiniteCraft - Python project from 2026 focused on creative gameplay systems.
  • PaHorton.github.io - Personal website where this bear practices being internet-presentable.
  • graph-dashboard - Python dashboard work for visualizing data.
  • dissertation - TeX repository for long-form research writing.
  • ASU-SolarSPELL - Archived HTML-heavy implementation work tied to SolarSPELL.

Tech I Paw At

  • Languages: Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, TeX, C
  • Interests: Data visualization, hackathon tooling, educational tech, systems design, and game experiments
  • Workflow: Build fast, test quickly, iterate harder than a bear opening a picnic basket
