Add TS config to generate .js and .d.ts files

Description

This PR is supposed to solve this issue.

Testing procedure

• Clone the fork, yarn && yarn tsc --build
• Check a dist folder is created with all required .js and .d.ts files
• To fully test the changes are okay, I guess you can also publish the fork to npm, install it in a project and check that everything still works correctly. I can set that up on my side if you want.
