UNOMEDS is a Flask-based AI medical support chatbot powered by Google Gemini. It provides step-by-step medical advice, information about diseases, symptoms, medicines, treatments, and wellness tips. The chatbot is designed to be simple and easy to use for all age groups, including elderly users.

- Clone the repository
git clone <repo_url>
cd UNOMEDS- Create a virtual environment (optional but recommended)
python -m venv venv
source venv/bin/activate # Linux/Mac
venv\Scripts\activate # Windows- Install dependencies
pip install -r requirements.txt- Set up environment variables
Create a .env file in the root directory:
GEMINI_API_KEY=your_google_gemini_api_key_here
- Run the Flask app
python app.py- Access the chatbot Open your browser and go to:
http://localhost:8000/chatbot
- Type your medical or health-related query in the input box.
- Click Send to receive a response from
unoBOT. - Only medical queries are supported. Non-medical queries will get a polite warning.
