Story of this repository

At the time of creating this repository, I am a working university student who does his best to release as many tools open-source as possible. Unfortunately, balancing work and studies means my financial situation is quite precarious.

Looking at my GitHub statistics, I noticed that my tools are actually being used by many people. However, I also realized that no one had ever made a donation, even just as a small token of appreciation for the open-source work I do. So, I decided to design this badge to gently highlight the possibility of supporting my work! ʕっ•ᴥ•ʔっ

Common Questions

Why did you use HTML to draw the badge?

I'm not skilled with drawing apps, and I had limited free time to create the badge. (╥﹏╥) So, I preferred to use a familiar tool instead of learning a new one.¯_(ツ)_/¯

Did you use AI to help yourself?

No, I copied, pasted, and personalized code found on the internet. ദ്ദി(˵ •̀ ᴗ - ˵ )

How did you convert an HTML file to SVG?

I used HTML-to-SVG-converter.

Why should I include this badge in my work?

If you are an indie maker, a student, or a solo developer, your time and energy are incredibly valuable. This badge is a friendly way to bridge the gap between you and your users. It reminds them that open-source isn't magic—it's human effort—and gives them a gentle nudge to show their appreciation.

Do I have to link this to PayPal?

Not at all! While the badge features a design inspired by PayPal's aesthetic (which is highly recognizable for payments), the whole point is the message. You can link this badge to your Ko-fi, GitHub Sponsors, Patreon, or any other platform you prefer to use. (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶)
