Summary

Marks statworx-theme as deprecated and no longer maintained. The package will receive no further updates, bug fixes, or releases. It remains available on PyPI for existing users, but new usage is discouraged.

Changes

  • README.md: Added a prominent deprecation warning callout at the top of the document. Because docs/index.md includes the README via include-markdown, this notice also surfaces on the Read the Docs site.
  • pyproject.toml:
    • Prefixed the package description with DEPRECATED - no longer maintained so the status is visible on the PyPI project page and in pip show output.
    • Added the Development Status :: 7 - Inactive trove classifier to formally signal the package's inactive status to PyPI and tooling.

Validation

No code paths changed; these are metadata and documentation updates only. The deprecation notice renders as a GitHub alert in the README and propagates to the docs build.
