Science Intelligence

AI-driven science will be the most important technological turning point in human history — and our mission is to ensure an open-source force exists to keep its capabilities in the hands of humanity.

Why this matters

We believe AI-driven science will change how humanity discovers, builds, and heals. Scientific research is moving from the bronze age into the industrial age.

A century ago, physics underwent a similar transition: meaningful progress began to require larger particle accelerators, global telescope arrays, and coordinated human effort at unprecedented scale. Now that same transition is happening across every discipline at once.

Our mission is to ensure that an open-source force exists to support AI-driven science. The capabilities ahead — frontier AI mathematicians, frontier AI physicists, new ways to cure cancer — should not be monopolized by any single company or institution. We will work to ensure they belong to humanity.

Our tenets

  • 01 — Belongs to humanity. Scientific AI capabilities should not be monopolized by a single company or institution.
  • 02 — Built in public. Knowledge, models, agents, evaluations, and discoveries should be open by default.
  • 03 — Scaled by coordination. The next era of science needs shared infrastructure, standards, and compute.
  • 04 — Open to builders. Scientists, engineers, labs, foundations, and partners can build this commons together.

What we build

Scientific AI needs more than models. It needs shared knowledge, trainable scientific models, agent harnesses, rigorous evaluation, and public discovery artifacts — built as open infrastructure.

  • 01 — Scientific Knowledge. A commons of research skills — authored by human experts, executed by AI agents.
  • 02 — Scientific Models. Recipes that turn open base models into Skills-fluent scientific agent brains.
  • 03 — Scientific Agents. An agent harness whose primitives are lab and literature native.
  • 04 — Scientific Evaluation. A pluralistic research environment where AI agent scientists actually work.
  • 05 — Scientific Discovery. The papers and findings we produce using our own stack.

Get involved

We are especially interested in researchers, engineers, labs, foundations, and venture partners who believe the scientific AI stack should stay open — and want to help build it.
