[Refactor] Simplify tryParseInt utility

WHY are these changes introduced?

The tryParseInt utility was using a mutable let variable and nested if statements, which can be simplified for better readability and maintainability.

WHAT is this pull request doing?

• Refactors tryParseInt to use an early return for undefined inputs.
• Flattens the logic using a ternary operator.
• Modernizes the implementation by using Number.parseInt and Number.isNaN.
