👋 Hi and Hello

I’m Mila Page (she/her) a software engineer on the Fusion adapters team at dbt Labs. I develop the dbt framework and dbt Fusion. My work extends across the Fusion adapter layer, ADBC drivers, and core dbt features like authentication and Iceberg support via catalogs.yml.

Technical Interests

👀 I love byte-sized problems. My passions lie in data driven design powered by algebraic data types, FFI, deep systems lore, compilers, and SIMD physics.

✍️ In my day to day, I enjoy solving application-software problems with the perspective of a former stakeholder!

☄️ I'm moving deeper into systems development and compilers. This year, I'm:

  1. Drilling Rust and its compiler, from the stdlib down to the LLVM handles.
  2. Vibe Coding a personal Terminal App / Database Service called LearningComputer to explore LLMs and product development.
  3. Apache Iceberg, everywhere Iceberg. dbt Core, dbt Fusion, all sorts of product development.
  4. Reading Lexi Lambda's lovely blog and looking for all the others I can
  5. Absorbing the Arrow Spec, ADBC, and more as fast as I can.
  6. Bootcamping through The Linux Programming Interface & TAPL + the pure mathematics topics underpinning computer science.
