Logistica is an item transport, distribution, and storage mod for Minetest. It is available for download here.
The main principle behind this mod is that no item moves unless it is requested somewhere.
The mod also provides upgradable mass-storage, an Access Point for central access to all storage, and a Wireless Access Pad to remotely access and Access Point.
An in-game guidebook is available that contains much of the same information as this wiki.
To craft it you need 2 Silver Sand (or regular Sand if playing MCL) and 1 Paper arranged like so:

This guide was written with minetest_game in mind, but Logistica also supports Mineclone2 and Mineclonia (referred to collectively as MCL in this guide).
Some recipes shown in the guide may differ when playing MCL. Generally the substitutes are the closest possible equivalent - e.g. Sand instead of Silver sand and Redstone instead of Mese. For exact information refer to your game's built-in crafting guide, or the crafting guide of the Lava Furnace for lava furnace specific recipes.
