if default is left monit won't start (at least on debian) and so install of pkg fails.

Modules were failing when there was a ':' in the text. This has been resolved with a | json
Similarly the mail_alert object wasn't forming an object properly without the json filter.
I added a variable to configure the check interval. 10s is a bit short for our uses.
