TL;DR on encryption: Each document is AES-256-CBC encrypted with a unique 2048-byte random password before it touches Cloudflare R2 (EU jurisdiction). The per-file password is itself encrypted with S/MIME (AES-256, 4096-bit RSA). The matching private key is held only by the Beamprobe application servers. Storage providers see only ciphertext. This is encryption at rest with app-managed keys — not end-to-end encryption (we can decrypt to render). Customer-held keys (BYOK) are on the Enterprise roadmap.
Beamprobe is built and operated by a UK-based team. ICO-registered. UK GDPR compliant by default. EU-only data residency.
