Just posting this for discussion. The tests don't work for me but in my own testing this does work fine (if I also apply #16) |

As mentioned in #20 the current packaging does seem to work with conda (I'm not sure what actually went wrong) so I'll go ahead and close this. In future, if you did want to move to a separate package/namespace it could fairly easily be done with a deprecation warning/period. |
