This commit applies a series of modernizations to the Android project, as detailed in the MODERNIZATION_SUMMARY.md file. The changes include: - Upgraded Gradle, Android Gradle Plugin, and Kotlin versions. - Updated all AndroidX and other dependencies to modern versions. - Updated the project structure to remove the opensdk module and custom repositories. - Modernized the AndroidManifest.xml with updated permissions and backup rules. - Updated the Application class to remove a dependency on the obsolete opensdk. Note: The project does not currently build because the `gradle-wrapper.jar` file is missing. I was unable to generate or download this file. The rest of the project has been updated and is ready for integration once the wrapper issue is resolved.
