If I had netCDF-LD…

  1. If I had netCDF-LD… I could create a metadata graph for that file, and use the location that I publish for that file as the root of that graph.

  2. If I had netCDF-LD… I could connect my netCDF file with my metadata collection.

  3. If I had netCDF-LD… this would provide the ability to link my netCDF file via RDF with other references, e.g. keyword vocabulary, events in time and space (like a hurricane), features

  4. If I had netCDF-LD… I could join up my data with other datasets more confidently

  5. If I had netCDF-LD… I could request all data associated with a named geographic area (e.g. “north-east Atlantic Ocean”)

2.2. DOI for a dataset - create links for a URI

3. Encoding

3.1. Help data providers reference external sources

3.2. Reference features (geoms, stations, platform, instrument, sensor)

4. Compliance checking

4.1. Help data providers check conventions bound - e.g. practice of 1 or more conventions
