This is the first community event of Blockstack, a community whose mission is to create a common infrastructure stack for decentralized application development. This event will bring together researchers and developers from industry, academia, and open source projects to discuss topics such as:

  • Distributed hash tables
  • Blockchain scalability
  • Decentralized identity
  • Secure messaging
  • Smart contracts
  • Decentralized storage
  • Peer-to-peer reputation
  • Electronic voting
  • Peer-to-peer markets
  • Autonomous organizations
  • Blockstack governance

###Event Overview

The first half of the day will be dedicated to five-minute Lightning Talks.

The second half of the day will be spent in three workshop sessions with five tracks each, for a total of fifteen workshop discussions. The workshop agenda will be determined by attendees using an “unconference” methodology the day of the event. Attendees will first propose topics during an agenda planning session, and then vote on which topics they wish to discuss. The top fifteen topics will be the ones which get discussed.

To close out the day, Blockstack Summit 2015 will host a Q&A panel moderated by Princeton Professor JP Singh and featuring Albert Wenger of Union Square Ventures, Jalak Jobanputra of Future/Perfect Ventures, Naval Ravikant of AngelList, and William Mougayar of Startup Management.
