What changed

  • removed the remaining APP AMOR / Capacitor legacy files so the repository now reflects the active SECCURITY desktop shell
  • fixed vertical scrolling in the desktop UI shell
  • improved local tool discovery for versioned Hashcat and John the Ripper folders inside Downloads
  • removed ForensiX Studio from the tool catalog and cleaned persisted tool/workspace entries that are no longer in the catalog
  • added small executable icons to the app library cards using the real Windows file icon when available
  • updated the README to describe the current desktop product and supported workflows

Why

The repository still mixed the current Windows desktop shell with an older mobile/romantic app codebase, which created maintenance noise and misleading documentation. On top of that, tool detection was missing common downloaded layouts, the library UI lacked recognizable icons, and the shell had a scroll bug.

Impact

  • the app library is cleaner and closer to the native Windows feel
  • Hashcat and John the Ripper are detected in the downloaded folder layouts used in this setup
  • the obsolete ForensiX entry no longer appears
  • the desktop UI scrolls correctly
  • packaging and docs now align with the active Electron app

Validation

  • npm.cmd run lint
  • npm.cmd run typecheck
  • npm.cmd run build
  • npm.cmd run dist:win

Notes

  • Git identity was configured locally for this repository only using the GitHub noreply address for cepds so the commit could be created on this machine.
  • GitHub CLI was not installed locally, so PR creation used the GitHub connector instead of gh.
