README.md already declares MIT but no LICENSE file existed at repo root. Downstream reuse of research artifacts (thesis, LoRO framework, forthcoming PoC code and papers) was ambiguous without explicit terms. This resolves the discrepancy by adding the file matching the README's declaration.

What
Adds
LICENSE(MIT) at the repo root.Why
README.md § License says "MIT" but no LICENSE file existed. For a
research repo containing the EA/EFM thesis and LoRO framework —
material explicitly intended for reuse and citation — ambiguity
between "README says MIT" and "no LICENSE file" is a downstream
reuse blocker.
Flagged by the 2026-04-24 public-repo audit as gap #3
(
~/cog-workspace/.cog/run/trackh/public-repo-audit.md§OSS-readiness gaps).
How
Copied verbatim from
cogos-dev/cogos/LICENSE— matches theREADME's declaration and the license used across all other active
cogos-dev repos.
