CM-2026

Perioperative Pain Systems Research Portfolio

Author: Collin Blaine George
Affiliation: Clinical Research & Medicine Practice
Governing Standard: CM-STYLE-01 v2.0 · PRISMA-ScR/JBI · ICH-GCP E6(R3) · GRADE · AMA Manual of Style (11th ed.)
Status: Active — Portfolio under construction
Version: 2.0 — March 2026

Overview

CM-2026 is an independent biomedical research portfolio organized around a tractably scoped dissertation question:

Does preoperative initiation of multimodal non-opioid analgesia suppress perioperative central sensitization biomarkers and reduce CPSP incidence at 12 months in high-risk total knee arthroplasty patients?

The broader long-term research program — what are the mechanistic, pharmacological, and clinical determinants of acute-to-chronic pain transition in the surgical patient, and how can perioperative analgesic strategy be optimized at the population level? — frames the full 24-paper corpus from which the dissertation question is drawn.

The portfolio spans evidence mapping, mechanistic analysis, pharmacological assessment, and research design, terminating in a dissertation prospectus and doctoral pathway framework supporting both MD-PhD (MSTP) and standalone neuroscience PhD applications. It is the biomedical parallel to WP-2026, which covers U.S. legal-economic statecraft and sanctions enforcement architecture.

All documents are governed by CM-STYLE-01 v1.0, which specifies clinical register, GRADE evidence tradecraft, document architecture, and production standards.
