This PR will update Test-Runner to latest .NET LTS release which is 8.0. EOL is `November 10, 2026.
Reason: Current code is using .NET LTS 6.0 which is out-of-support for more than a year now.
Motivation: I want to work on some issues and implement some improvements since I am heavily using this library but I don't want to rely on out-of-support stack when writing tests etc.
Closes Issue #362
