💡 What: Hoisted the os.Executable() call outside the loop in generateCronContent in cmd/daemon.go.
🎯 Why: os.Executable() performs a system call (readlink on /proc/self/exe) which is not cached. Calling it inside a loop for every job is inefficient and causes unnecessary allocations.
📊 Impact:

  • Baseline: ~2.8ms/op, 3002 allocs/op (for 1000 jobs)
  • Optimized: ~0.32ms/op, 5 allocs/op
  • Speedup: ~8.7x faster
  • Allocations: Reduced by ~99%
    🔬 Measurement: Added cmd/daemon_benchmark_test.go to verify the improvement. Run with go test -bench=BenchmarkGenerateCronContent -benchmem ./cmd.

- Hoists `os.Executable()` call outside the loop to avoid repeated syscalls.
- Reduces allocations from ~3 per job to near zero.
- Improves performance by ~8.7x for 1000 jobs (~2.8ms -> ~0.32ms).
- Adds `cmd/daemon_benchmark_test.go` for regression testing.
