Get Started

1. Get your API key

This tool uses the Technology Detection API — a fast, accurate technology profiling service.

Sign up on RapidAPI and subscribe to get your API key (free tier available).

2. Install

git clone https://github.com/deividi86/techstack-scanner.git
cd techstack-scanner
pip install -r requirements.txt

3. Set your API key

export RAPIDAPI_KEY="your-key-here"

Or create a .env file in the project directory:

RAPIDAPI_KEY=your-key-here

4. Scan

Single URL:

python scanner.py github.com

Multiple URLs:

python scanner.py github.com shopify.com stripe.com

From a file:

python scanner.py -f urls.txt

JSON output (for piping to other tools):

python scanner.py -o json github.com | jq .

How It Works

The scanner sends each URL to the Technology Detection API, which analyzes HTTP headers, HTML content, JavaScript variables, cookies, and DNS records to identify technologies with high accuracy.
