Earth 101: Major update of the introductory tutorial

Hi all,

Some time ago I did a training to discover what was available on Galaxy for earth system data.
I did a major update to try and do something more digest hopefully for the users.
I kept the main Earth system introduction I added the links it has with climate and ecology plus i separated into:

• ocean
• atmosphere
• biodiversity
• land
• geosphere

What do you think of it ? It surely needs some big improvements still @yvanlebras @PaulineSGN @annefou @jeromedetoc
I'm going to check also with our Aquainfra friends if they want to add stuff here too

@Marie59 I need to add ANR to list of supporting funding databases to support. Is there a portal where grants can be looked up by their ID?

Hi Saskia, Marie, there is the anr.fr website, but not really a dedicated place where we can search for such "21-ESRE-0010" id as far as I know

I tried to modify it specifying OpenAIRE as database (who seems to me relevant for others grants ID) and modyfying the funding ID as presented in OpenAIRE

Thanks @yvanlebras is there an openaire URL that can be constructed using this ID to lead to a project page?

I also found this link: https://anr.fr/ProjetIA-21-ESRE-0010

if we change the id to ProjetIA-21-ESRE-0010 then we can automatically create the url by putting https://anr.fr/ in front of the ID, then it would hopefully work more easily for other ANR grants as well. What do you think?

Thnak you Saskia! Unfortunately, the ANR URL is not something we can reuse as it is not really using the project ID for the URL (amazing ;) ). And on OpenAire, don't find something "clever"... only the URL with serach and the horrible id...

@yvanlebras ok, then maybe I will just add support for providing a full url for anr rather than constructing it cleverly

ok, pushed a solution for ANR funding ids:

funding_id: "ProjetIA-21-ESRE-0010"
funding_id_display: "21-ESRE-0010"
funding_database: anr

funding_id is used to construct the link to the project page on ANR website, funding_id_display is shown to users on the various GTN pages. good?

@Marie59 have you tried making the "where to start" tutorials into slide decks? They don't have any hands-on parts, and mostly consist of small sections that feel like they would fit nicely on slides, what do you think?

secondly, maybe consider a subtopic for them? They end up at the bottom under "other", but probably nice to have them at the top?

I do like the view of markdown of the hands-on but yes maybe slides would be more adapted.

Still thinking about it I am trying to bring other people than me to collaborate here for earth science stuffs so this could take a bit of time ;)
