Summary

The sidebar config at docs/en-US/core/functions/locales/meta.json lists a resolve-canonical-locale page, but the file did not exist — producing a broken/empty sidebar entry.

This adds the missing standalone resolveCanonicalLocale function reference, mirroring the existing resolveAliasLocale standalone page. The function is exported from generaltranslation (verified against the latest published package) and is the inverse of resolveAliasLocale.

Why

  • Fills a documented-but-missing API reference page
  • Resolves the dangling meta.json reference

🌿 Daily docs review

The core/functions/locales/meta.json listed resolve-canonical-locale but
the page did not exist, leaving a broken sidebar entry. Added the page,
mirroring the existing resolveAliasLocale standalone function reference.

Closing stale docs PR — docs review is moving to a linter-based workflow going forward, and this backlog is now out of date (per Taylor). Keeping #372 and #373.
