On a hunch, after really deploying the gawk fix (which implicitly fixed the ci-artifacts workflow that was previously failing in t4034 because, you guessed it, of awk invocations), I re-ran the open-pr workflow. And while it failed to open a PR because this here PR already exists, it did manage to push. And the update looks correct!
