本仓库的翻译工作首先通过 DeepSeek 对全书进行初翻，随后人工通读全篇或上游代码的改动进行校对，翻译力求严谨、忠实原文，尽可能保持原文档的结构、语气与信息密度，不擅自增删文字细节，只在英文长句或被动语态影响中文阅读流畅性时，进行适度意译的调整，不改变原意；在专有名词、概念等术语上参照《Rust 程序设计语言 简体中文版》 等社区里高质量的中文翻译内容，以期不使大家在读到书的译文的时候，对某些概念或专有名词的翻译感到困惑。同时，代码、格式力求规范，项目每次提交均根据《Rust 参考手册开发者指南》里的运行测试板块，进行格式、链接测试，力争保证输出内容的质量。

This repository hosts the Chinese translation of The Rust Reference, which the translators, following the naming conventions adopted for other languages, have rendered as 《Rust 参考手册》. The Rust Reference specifies the rules and norms of the Rust programming language, documenting authoritative, complete, and consultable details of the language—including syntax, semantics, and features—and constitutes an indispensable resource for gaining an in‑depth understanding of Rust.
The upstream repository also contains The Rust Reference Developer Guide, translated here as 《Rust 参考手册开发者指南》. This guide serves as the official contribution manual for The Rust Reference and establishes a comprehensive set of collaboration conventions for editors and reviewers. Considering that readers may wish to contribute code to the upstream project in the future, having a Chinese translation can help them quickly become familiar with the requirements; this repository therefore synchronizes the source and provides a Chinese translation of the guide as well.
The translation workflow for this repository begins with an initial machine translation of the entire book using DeepSeek, followed by a manual review that covers the full text and any upstream changes. The translation strives for rigor and faithfulness to the original, preserving the structure, tone, and information density of the source document to the greatest extent possible. No textual details are added or removed arbitrarily; mild paraphrasing is employed only when English long sentences or passive constructions would otherwise hinder readability in Chinese, without altering the original meaning. For specialized terms and concepts, translations are aligned with high‑quality community work such as the Simplified Chinese edition of The Rust Programming Language, so that readers encountering these terms in the translated book will not be confused. At the same time, both the code and formatting are held to rigorous standards: each commit is subjected to formatting and link checking in accordance with the running tests section of The Rust Reference Developer Guide, in order to ensure the quality of the output.
This project repository translates the nightly version of The Rust Reference, which may differ slightly from the stable version you may see elsewhere.
The project repository is kept up to date by synchronizing with the upstream repository and translating any changed content. The English source text on which the current translation is based corresponds to commit hash 5d5be50f, committed on May 21, 2026.
You can read the translations online: 《Rust 参考手册》 and 《Rust 参考手册开发者指南》. Alternatively, PDF files for both books can be downloaded from the repository’s Release page, or you can consult the build and testing instructions in CONTRIBUTING.md (currently available in Chinese) to build the HTML version of the books locally and then generate PDF files.
Given the highly specialized nature of the content and the limited ability of the translators, errors and omissions in the translation are inevitable.
