Create a scan task

Scan settings：After Goby is started, click the Scan button to open the New Scan Task pop-up window and configure the following information in sequence:

  • Enter the scan target

    Enter IP/Domain. The format is as follows:：

    IP：192.0.0.0/24 or 192.0.0.1-192.0.3.255

    Domain: gobies.org or cn.gobies.org

    Tips：

    1. We recommend that you set the scan range below segment B. Excessive scanning range may cause slow scanning speed and even program crash.
    2. When scanning domain , we recommend that you enable Crawl Automaticlly: Settings> Asset Mapping > Enable Subdomain Scanning

  • Select port range / Enter port range

    Built-in port groups for 8 scenarios. By default, Enterprise groups are displayed.

  • Advanced Configuration

    • Vulnerability options

      Built-in general PoC and weak password. By default, General PoC is selected.

      All：When this option is selected, General PoC and weak password will be executed.

      Disabled：When this option is selected, only asset scans are performed. If you only want to collect assets, select this option to speed up scanning.

    • Scan sequence

      Assets first：When this option is selected, the asset scan is performed first. After the asset scan is completed, the vulnerability scan is performed. Vulnerability results are slow in this method. Simultaneously：When this option is selected, assets and vulnerability scans are performed at the same time. The vulnerability results appear faster in this method .

  • Configuration completed

    After completing the task configuration, click Startbutton to start scanning.
