I forgot to ask for other PRs, were these 2 properties added automatically by gradle or were they added manually to fix some issue in downloading gradle?

I sent two separate commits, one for updating the example app and another for updating the plugin, since updating the plugin makes the test app to fail, and updating the test app fails if the plugin is not updating because of gradle 9 having kotlin plugin enabled.
