Stable Release

This add-on started as a gift for a relative who cannot be arsed to pick a stream or faff around in Stremio—so AutoStream was born. About 99% of it was written by ChatGPT 5; the remaining 1% was me berating the bot for its boundless mistakes in an otherwise amazing display of coding wizardry.

Frontend-wise, the biggest challenge was the debrid functionality. Thank god Torrentio and AIOStreams are open source—GPT could scan their file structure, spot what we were missing, and learn from them. Huge thanks to those projects.

Backend-wise, I wanted this to feel like your favourite streaming add-ons: instant add-on load, minimal lag, solid debrid, caching—the whole buffet of terms I only half understand. After test after test, it’s now pretty close to (and sometimes faster than) Torrentio, which has been my benchmark.

From here on, updates will be slower (unless something critical catches fire). That said, please keep filing issues—I genuinely don’t mind fixing things.

(The reason it's 2.3.1 and not 1.0.0 is an example of all the changes that went into this and the fact that I know nothing about coding)
