Research profile

Khalid Saqr's line of work moves from mechanical and energy-conversion systems into blood flow, vascular signalling, Bio-CFD, mechanobiology and scientific knowledge infrastructure. The early record deals with heat control, gas-turbine flow, combustion, detonation dynamics, vortices, turbulence, entropy, exergy, renewable-energy machines, urban flows, offshore structures and CFD reliability.

After 2012, the focus moved toward biofluid mechanics. Blood flow in large arteries and cerebral vessels became the central challenge: a living flow in which viscosity, pulsatility, wall motion, bifurcation, turbulence and biological response cannot be separated cleanly. That turn led into Saqr's neurovascular research, Bio-CFD, mechanobiology and the question of how a calculated flow field becomes a biological signal.

The later work extends the same discipline into knowledge systems. Scientific knowledge is treated as another complex system: papers, citations, code, data, simulations, expert judgement and intellectual property are valuable only when they can be inspected, connected, reused and trusted.
