  1. Download Paws.zip below
  2. Unzip and drag Paws.app to your Applications folder
  3. Right-click → Open. On first launch (macOS will warn you since this is not an App Store app)

Paws is a minimal macOS menu bar utility that locks your keyboard with one click - so you can wipe it down without triggering a nuclear launch.

What's included

  • One-click keyboard lock from the menu bar
  • Menu bar icon changes when locked
  • Blocks all keypresses including modifier keys (Cmd, Shift, Option, etc.)
  • Minimal UI, no Dock icon

Known limitations

  • Volume and brightness keys are not blocked - this is a macOS restriction and cannot be worked around
  • Requires Accessibility permission on first launch (System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility)

Installation
