Reorganized the chat feature codebase by moving files into more granular subfolders such as attachments, editing, participants, requestParser, tools, widget, and widgetHosts. Updated all relevant imports and references to match the new structure. Added a documentation file (chatCodeOrganization.md) to describe the new organization. This improves maintainability and clarity of the chat codebase.
Refactored editor rendering logic, especially for line rendering and decorations, and updated related GPU and view code. Removed obsolete IME test files, added new instructions and pipeline configs, and updated numerous test snapshots to reflect rendering changes. Also includes dependency and configuration updates across extensions and build scripts.
Major update to chat features and related infrastructure: introduces new content parts, session operation logging, and agent session controls. Refactors and extends chat session, agent, and tool invocation logic. Updates test and build pipelines for improved sanity test handling and validation. Adds new CSS theme files, utilities, and accessibility improvements. Updates documentation and learnings, and makes various bug fixes and enhancements across chat, terminal, and theme services.
Introduces a compatibility check for the github.copilot-chat extension in insider builds, including engine and API proposal validation. Adds versionCompatibility utility, updates build scripts to use local untar, and makes various improvements and new tests for chat agent sessions, prompt syntax, and terminal chat agent tools. Also updates branding references to 'Agent Machine' and modifies codesigning logic for Windows builds.
