Components

Hardware H.264/JPEG encoder using the RV1106 Video Encoder (VENC).

  • USB camera capture (V4L2 MJPEG/YUYV)
  • Hardware H.264 encoding for streaming
  • Hardware MJPEG encoding for snapshots
  • Display capture with hardware rotation (RGA)
  • Built-in HTTP/MQTT/RPC servers
  • Timelapse with hardware VENC encoding (no ffmpeg dependency)
# Quick start
cd rkmpi-encoder && make dynamic
./rkmpi_enc --help

HTTP streaming server with web UI for Rinkhals custom firmware.

  • MJPEG and H.264 FLV streaming endpoints
  • Multi-camera support - up to 4 USB cameras with individual settings
  • Display capture for remote LCD viewing
  • Touch control - interact with printer UI remotely
  • Web control interface with live preview
  • Camera controls - real-time V4L2 adjustments (brightness, contrast, exposure, etc.)
  • Moonraker webcam integration
  • Auto frame skipping based on CPU load
  • Timelapse recording - native Anycubic slicer support + advanced Moonraker mode
  • Timelapse management - browse, preview, download, delete recordings
# Endpoints
/stream # MJPEG multipart stream
/snapshot # Single JPEG frame
/flv # H.264 in FLV container
/display # LCD framebuffer stream
/control # Web UI
/timelapse # Timelapse management

Framebuffer status display utility for showing messages on the printer LCD.

  • Direct framebuffer rendering with TTF fonts
  • Screen save/restore
  • Pipe mode for long-running scripts
  • Auto screen orientation per printer model
  • Printer busy/free API integration
# Quick examples
fb_status show "Calibrating..."
fb_status show "Error!" -c red
fb_status pipe -b << 'EOF'
show Starting process...
color yellow
show Step 1 of 3
EOF

Protocol documentation, research notes, and captures.

  • Timelapse RPC protocol
  • USB camera bandwidth analysis
  • Display standby/wake control
  • CPU optimization techniques
