Download the Optomizer.jar from the releases section.
Open the Terminal and navigate to the download folder.
Then run
java -jar <filename> The "Optomizer.jar" will be located in the release section or you may fork this repository and get the jar file, most of the jar files are in src/bin-dd-mm-yy/ or in src/.
This application uses flatlaf UI form v3.2.0 onwards, any java Swing UI will break if sudo is used instead of that we use GUI popups like pkexec and oascript.
After running java -jar Optomizer.jar, the app will launch, and then there will be a text field where you can enter the name (Please enter the name of the app if you are in v3.3.0 or above as lower version strictly require PID and will break if you give a name) of the app you want to set. Entering the wrong name could lead to negative performance.
If you do not know the name of your app, then you can go to the System Monitor and check the app name there, or if you use a version above v3.0.0 Optomizer has a dropdown box from where you can choose any of the task you wish to choose out of all the tasks.

Requires Java to function, 100% of this app is made in java altough the commands are not java commands they are run using process builder for advanced connectivity with the terminal.
The correct version or above is required for this app to function as failing to comply with them can cause errors.

Developed by me btw. I use Arch btw. Pls ignore spelling mistakes, + I spelt Optomizer wrong on purpose, Optomizer was spelled wrong to be unique, intitially it was just a spelling mistake but then I released how unique this name was so I kept it :) .

So far the most stable Optomizer release is the Optomizer v3.4.0 as it is much more advanced and also uses the LTS Java 21!
v3.5.0 coming soon! features a patch for Issue #4 and Issue #5
v3.4.0 Supports refreshing the process list, there is a dedicated button for refreshing right above the Discord button. The refresh button does not auto refresh as it consumes resources which is not ideal for an app which is meant to boost performance.
We have added support for Windows OS from v2.0.0 onwards, and now we have all OS's in support. Linux, Mac OS, Windows.
Windows users are recommended to use v3.5.0(Not yet released, under development) for stability.
All versions below v2.0.0 only support linux.
Avoid using older versions we reccomend switching to v3.4.0 a more stable and reliable release for users.*
As of v3.4.0 the windows compatibility just exists but is very unstable, buggy and not functional v3.5.0 will fix this issue.
The app uses in build flatlaf 3.7 from v3.2.0 onwards no extra downloads are required!
versions below v3.2.0 do not support flatlaf and are highly unstable, please use the latest version!

The AUR is always updated after the Github Repository is updated.
If you are downloading from the AUR you do not need to run java -jar Optomizer.jar you can simply type optomizer in your terminal, if the app was successfully installed it will run but there is no desktop icon/file for optomizer as of v3.4.0.
The App cannot be updated regularly or weekly due to SCHOOL! Thank You for cooprating
