I'm Marco P. , i introduce myself as an indomitable hobbist and self-taught sea dog with an educational background in galvanized copper (electronics) although i embark some interest on modern ciphers (software) and other side quests, so i wouldn't really qualify myself as a programmer. I’m just a sailor riggin' his own sails.
The moniker i chose has double meaning, as it could be interpreted both as Marco P. Code and as a vague recall to the concept of opcode, the very bone and marrow of any architecture. I roam this digital ocean mainly to sharpen my cutlass, for personal learning and related practice. This fleet of repositories — be these public or hidden in the fog— contains academic treasures, resources, lectures, and exercises hauled from the vast public reaches of the Great Web, so even illiterate filibusters and greedy buccaneers can consult them for educational purposes.
I am passionate and deeply driven by the currents of the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) disciplines. I believe in research and technology as the finest tools in a mariner's chest capable of bringing fair weather into everyday life, empowering sailors on their decks and improving their knowledge. I think that it's a noble mission, deserving to be pursued with willingness and discipline.
As Dante said "Consider your origins: you were not made to live as brutes, but to follow virtue and knowledge", so i let my curiosity be the North Star guidin' my rudder, well aware that generosity is the highest treasure for a wise Captain. This inner fire, to which i owe every scrap of map and lore i’ve ever gathered, sails with me on every voyage. Day by day, I strive to trim the sails and sharpen my wits, seekin' to bring a bit more light to the dark waters of ignorance.

- to sharpen my cutlass in order to broaden the frontier of my aptitudes, to achieve the technical mastery and the deep knowledge of a boatswain in as many disciplines as the Seven Seas can hold. Knowledge is consciousness.
- to know how to dissect hardware machinery of any kind, even without knowing its specific purposes. Things are just what they do, just as a ship is defined not by its armory, but by how it cuts through the gale.
- to know how to acquire all the needed information inside the hull of whatever hardware ship i see (ancient architectural charts, component datasheets, dynamic analyses) and fathom its operating logic at an arbitrary level of detail and depth beyond the water surface (physical, logical, protocol, software). Understanding is mind literacy.
- to be able to see everything about cipher doctrine (computer science) through the spyglass of a copper technician (electronics), that tries to hatch the sunken chest, because hardware is the pearl in the software shell. Whoever changes the world is the one who continues to look at it with ever new spyglasses, seekin' a clearer horizon where others see only fog.
- to be able to wrest simple rules from the most tangled of storms, for in this life, every wave and every gale is governed by its own law. approachin' the vast ocean of STEAM from scratch allows a sailor to face a world of wonders, startin' from the most atomic and fundamental spark—be it the opcode or any rule that carries meanin'. Truth is really elusive, mystical and indecipherable.
- to know how the hardware ship is truly commanded and how to seize full control over its iron heart. I strive to fathom how a high-level software whisper is translated into the low-level roar of the machine, expressed in the native ISA of any architecture. For i know well that language is made of meanings, and to have a silicon tongue is to truly rule over the crew and the ship.
- to have the grit to reconstruct the logic of any ancient software cipher, even when it appears as a sealed chest found at the bottom of the sea. I want to discern its purpose without knowin' the hands that forged it or the methods they used, even when the charts are obsolete, untrusted, or missin' altogether. I dive deep where the source code is long gone, for i know that distrust in technology is hope in technology — only by doubtin' the hull can we find the leaks.
- to adhere to a strict Code of Honor and believe that even illiterate filibusters and greedy buccaneers can resolve their merge conflicts and behave ethically, harmlessly and respectifully of others and of legitimate rights like copyright, intellectual property and privacy. I discourage any illicit purpose. On this ship, we fight for knowledge, not for ruin, and damaging others is a form of self destruction, because it's not catholic.
- to have the patience to track down defects in the hull, to document them, freeze them in a picture, reproduce the storms and understand their causes. Best observers are often the forgetful and blind ones and the best light comes from the stars, not from lanterns.
- to have a methodology for everything, because its absence and poor written code unveils a certain lack of reasoning. Methodology is a form of caregiving to the ship and the crew and care is the best therapy, even for scurvy.
