AltPower is currently in the development stage, and the first version has not yet been released.
AltPower is a native Linux desktop utility designed for people moving from Windows to Linux.
On Windows, pressing Alt + F4 while the desktop is focused opens a power menu. AltPower aims to bring a similar experience to Linux desktops while keeping normal application-closing behavior unchanged.
Tip
Alt + F4 on an app window → Let the desktop environment close that window. (Incomplete functionality)

You can help by reporting bugs, testing AltPower on different Linux distributions, improving translations, designing icons, improving GTK UI code, or submitting pull requests.

- Build and test the project locally.
- Keep the application lightweight and native.
- Avoid unnecessary dependencies.
- Add comments for complex logic.
- Keep commits focused on one change.
