Setting up a signing key

Generate a new Java signing key as follows:

keytool -genkeypair -keyalg RSA -sigalg SHA1withRSA -alias androidkey

You will have to pick a password for the keystore, and a password for the key. (Java will default to use the same for both. That's fine for our purposes.)

Now add the following to the local.properties of this project:

sign.storePassword=YOUR_PASSWORD
sign.keyAlias=androidkey
sign.keyPassword=YOUR_PASSWORD

Building using Gradle

To build MapsV1 library you can use the following command:

./gradlew :mapsv1-flashable:assembleRelease

This will output a Android recovery flashable Zipfile at mapsv1-flashable/build/outputs/mapsv1.flashable.zip.
