The PR is a big one unfortunately... What started off as just adding the ability to add grouped variables let to a complete internal re-write/re-structure of how GUI widgets are defined and handled so that groups could work.
Because I wanted to add custom widgets at some point anyway, now was the perfect time to do it since I was doing this re-write since I'd need to make sure the custom widgets worked with the new system anyway.
Because this has take a while, quite a few other small features and bug fixes are all part of this too.
