Bumping vite to ^8.0.0 puts the workspace on a version that @tailwindcss/vite@4.2.1 does not declare support for (vue/package-lock.json shows peer vite: ^5.2.0 || ^6 || ^7 at line 3817), so installs/builds now run under an overridden peer-dependency state instead of a supported combination. This is a real compatibility risk for the main build path because the Tailwind Vite plugin is part of the project toolchain, and the previous vite@^7.3.1 did satisfy that peer range.
