Hi, I made these changes some time ago in my fork. "status" in particular is extremely useful along with the additions you have already which allow single repo freeze/unfreeze.... Really glad you are still keeping this alive. THE best solution for my workflow and I've tried a few (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/7702638/git-sub-repos-external-libs-for-web-development-best-strategy-once-and-for)
