Add masked-edittext/gradle.properties with publishing metadata and version settings. Load signingKeyId/signingKey/signingPassword from signing.properties (root or module) when not provided via project properties, and ignore signing.properties in VCS.
Add README release notes and Gradle Nexus publishing config. Read Sonatype credentials from project properties, a local signing.properties file, or environment variables. Normalize signing key IDs and accept base64-encoded PGP keys for signing. Update the masked-edittext module default version to 2.0.0.
Files moved: MODERNIZATION.md, MODERNIZATION_SUMMARY.md, API_REFACTORING_GUIDE.md, MAINTAINERS.md now live under docs/ Update README.md and AGENTS.md links to point to docs/ paths and clarify MAINTAINERS signing.properties guidance
