Checklist for Pull Requests

Manifests

  • Have you checked that there aren't other open pull requests for the same manifest update/change?
  • Have you validated your manifest locally with winget validate --manifest <path>?
  • Have you tested your manifest locally with winget install --manifest <path>?
  • Does your manifest conform to the 1.12 schema?

Note: <path> is the directory's name containing the manifest you're submitting.

Notes from me:

  • While I remember now that I do have a 1050 Ti in my "Leftover PC components" shelf, the problem is that I don't have remaining spare functional PCIe slots left in my PC. They're either all in use (Even the one that usually ends up covered up by 2-lane GPUs; by means of an x1-to-x1 "riser" extender), or are deactivated by my motherboard due to using 2 NVMe disks.

In contrast to #28 (comment), I ran into bigger problems with this one (391.35).

On Windows 11 25H2 (x64), the x86 installer failed, claiming there was no supported graphics hardware. Understandable considering the installer was stated to be specifically for Windows 10 32-bit, thus presumably considering W11 to be unsupported. I've added a UnsupportedOSArchitectures entry to the manifest accordingly now.

Less clear was why I couldn't get the x64 installer to work either. It gets very close to succeeding, but then fails due to problems with the installer's bundling of (an old version of) NVIDIA Control Panel. This was also the case on my 2nd attempt after I had uninstalled the previous version of NVIDIA Control Panel.
