Hmm, I wounder why this isn't needed anymore. It was added to fix impls/import_from_private.rs, but as that (and all the tests) still pass, I guess this is fine. How did you find out that this wasn't needed? |

When I was working on #106741, I was trying to figure out what was wrong with the JSON output. Since there wasn't much code specific for it, I tried removing a few things around and then I realized that this code in particular wasn't needed. More luck than insight. |
