This week, I focused on making several impactful contributions to WooCommerce's open source repositories. I shipped a feature to the iOS app that enriches mobile announcements by adding a "Learn more" CTA, giving users the option to dig deeper into what's new. On the POS front, I opened a pull request to improve the cash payment workflow, ensuring the cash view launches instantly without UI delays or conflicts. I also worked on enhancing card reader reliability by supporting auto-reconnection for Bluetooth devices, inspired by similar improvements on Android, which helps keep the app and hardware in sync during unexpected disconnects. Finally, I started making the template_id optional in WooCommerce’s email sending action to streamline server-side processing. This week was all about polishing the user experience and building more resilient cross-platform flows.
